Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - IRI Life Sciences

IRI Life Sciences

The Integrative Research Institute for the Life Sciences (IRI Life Sciences) links key areas of scientific research, crossing multiple scales from molecular and cell biology to whole organisms and populations. The institute acts as an interface between different disciplines, connecting basic biological with clinical researchers, and theoreticians with experimentalists.

Founded in 2013, the IRI Life Sciences is a unique collaboration between three research institutions: the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU), the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Max-Delbrück-Center (MDC) for Molecular Medicine. The IRI Life Sciences is an initiative to pool resources and to pursue interdisciplinary research in the life sciences.

We believe that great ideas are an emergent property of complementary expertise and an open exchange. The IRI Life Sciences provides the conditions for that exchange to take place.
