New IRTG at IRI Life Sciences approved!

DFG approved the International Research Training Group 2403 "Dissecting and reenineering the regulatory genome".

The new IRTG under the umbrella of the IRI Life Sciences, headed by IRI member Uwe Ohler consists of 11 research groups from four institutions in Berlin [Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin; Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin; Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in the Helmholtz Association and its Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology; Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics and 11 research groups from several departments at Duke University and its Medical School.

From 2019 on they will train  the next generation of researchers with a combination of experimental and computational approaches in a quantitative understanding of gene regulation within the context of biological systems.
